ANZAC Day
Day Three of the Rally 2010 falls on ANZAC Day, an important day in the calendar of many Australians.
Dawn Service
Details of the annual dawn service at the war memorial atop Mount Eliza in Kings Park will be provided to all rally participants. This service commences at 5.45am on ANZAC Day.
ANZAC Day Parade and Service
The Mercedes-Benz Car Club of Western Australia has a long tradition of many decades supporting the Red Cross, which amongst the many works of its organisation coordinates the carrying of war veterans unable to march in the annual ANZAC Day Parade in the Perth city. We hope that the guests of Rally 2010 will join us in this special service to our community.
As a driver of many years I am always uplifted by the spirited recognition that the public and fellow veterans give our passengers. Many of our veterans are quite touched by the crowd enthusiasm and good wishes.

National Rally participants who would like to support this service should be aware of the following:
* The Red Cross will nominate the passengers to be carried in each vehicle. The driver is responsible for collecting the passenger from his or her place of residence - which may be anywhere in the Perth metropolitan area. This does mean an early morning start - the parade commences near 9:00am.
* No passengers other than the war veterans may be in the car. Therefore, couples or groups travelling with one vehicle will need to select a person to be the driver…others can be spectators of the parade of course!
*The parade is followed by a memorial service on the Perth Esplanade. Drivers generally attend this service, although the veterans spend this time with their fellow service men and women. The service commences at 11.00am. Following the service the driver will return the war veteran to his or her home.
